MONTREAL MUSEUMS DAY
An action-packed Sunday in the company of emcees Ubert Sanspré dit Beloeil and Télesphore, storytellers Marc-André Fortin and Patrick Péloquin dit Joseph Sanfaçon, and coureur des bois, Ti-Jean de La Rochelle.
Come and meet a rich merchant from Ville-Marie, Jacques Le Ber, who will tell you about his origins.
Blacksmith, snowshoe maker, water witch, rope-maker, shingle-maker and turner will teach you the secrets of their trade.
Watch as Baptiste Durand, spoon maker, heats the pewter and pours it in old-fashioned molds. The trough carver will teach you his secrets.
Learn the art of weaving baskets from plants with Nathalie Levasseur, called LA MÉTISSE, a basket weaver and chair caner.
Discover the art of weaving threads with the Artisans de la ceinture fléchée de Lanaudière.
With his colourful threads, Weaver Peter Wrona will teach you the art of weaving, using old-fashioned techniques.
Sample rose and local products or taste some delicious brown sugar fudge coulis made by Soeur Madeleine.
Meet the public writer and learn the art of writing with a goose feather, as they did in the 17th century.

An atelier you won’t want to miss, given by Renaud Longrée, an ardent specialist in mycology, who is responsible for the firm Myco Sylva. He will show you spices made from forest plants. You will have an opportunity to sample most unusual spices.

An afternoon filled with songs, stories and music under the honorary presidency of performer René Caron in the role of Théodore Bouchonneau (dit des Bouchons). He will be accompanied by his beautiful, fat Georgianna.
All lined up with their guns on their shoulders, the soldiers of the The Compagnie du 2e Bataillon du Régiment de La Sarre will welcome guests in style. This event will start at 1:00 p.m., with host and storyteller Joseph Sanfaçon. He will be accompanied by musicians.

ROCKING ON THE FRONT LAWN
A festive afternoon to open the tourist season
Hours filled with songs, stories and music
under the honorary presidency of performer René Caron in the role of Théodore Bouchonneau (dit des Bouchons).
He will be accompanied by his beautiful, fat Georgianna.
This event starts at 1:00 p.m. with storytellers Télesphore and Joseph Sanfaçon. They will be accompanied by musicians.
Come and rock to celebrate the beginning of summer and listen to storyteller Lucie Bisson as she tells you amusing stories.
Learn to make spoons, with Baptiste Durand and his friend the trough carver. The snowshoe-make will shoe you the art of weaving with leather trips.
Using shears, the shearer will shear sheep.

wicker specialist and caner. She will teach you that art of
weaving baskets. Or learn the art of writing with a quill

Under the honorary presidency of storyteller Stéphanie Bénéteau,
in the role of Rose Latulipe, Maison Saint-Gabriel presents a day dedicated to the rose. All about roses... from the rose in the garden in
the company of the Rose, Bellerose, Larose families...

Admire the skill of the artisans.
Meet Baptiste Durand, the spoon maker,
or the saddle maker, making his saddles.
Follow the water witch with his sticks; he will show you how to find water.
Learn the art arrow weaving or the art of weaving baskets with Nathalie Levasseur dite LA MÉTISSE, wicker specialist and caner, or learn to make rope with the rope maker.
Meet the public writer, who will teach you how
to write
with a goose feather, as they did in the 17th century.
Who will be the winner? Bow saw competition with Télesphore and François Sorel.
