April 30, 2008 – On Wednesday, April 30, 2008, on behalf of the Canadian Minister of the Environment, Mr. John Baird, and in the company of Mr. Gérald Tremblay, Mayor of Montreal, Mr. Jacques Lacoursière, Historian, Mr. Jean-Claude Marsan, Member of the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada, and Ms. Madeleine Juneau, CND, Manager of Maison Saint-Gabriel, Mr. Daniel Petit, MP for Charlesbourg–Haute-Saint-Charles, unveiled a plaque from the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada commemorating the national historic importance of Maison Saint-Gabriel.
