Daniel Fortin

Daniel Fortin, anthropologist, ethnobotanist and horticulturalist with the Centre de la nature de Laval, published, with Éditions du Trécarré, Roses et rosiers pour le Québec et l’est du Canada, as well as Arbres, arbustes et plantes herbacées du Québec in cooperation with Michel Famelart. He is also the author of several other horticulture works and horticultural columns for magazines Fleurs, plantes et jardinsand Québec vert, as well as articles on horticulture, ecology and botany. He is passionate about gardens here and elsewhere and has been studying the origins and specificities of Québec gardens for several years. He designed the New France garden at Maison Saint-Gabriel, museum and historic site, in Pointe Saint-Charles, Montréal.
