Biography

François Lavallée

François Lavallée

A story-teller at heart, François Vallée is a man of words and ideas, a blacksmith of lies, a dreamer of realities, a handyman of images, a sculptor of gobbledygook, a re-setter of old legends, a sower of doubts, a builder of dreams who speaks as he breathes… He has travelled to visit the Inuit in Québec’s great north, the Native People of the equatorial volcanoes, the French, and the Belgians; his feet have taken him throughout the four corners of Québec and to Acadia. He is also one of the founding members of Dimanches du conte du Sergent Recruteur, in Montréal. He received the gold medal for the 2005 Jeux de la francophonie, in Niger. He continues to travel and tell his tales.
