“How did the settlers in New France use their free time? What did children play with?  While certain toys were reserved for the elite, the settlers were able to make, with a certain amount of skill, toys such as the cup-and-ball game, bowling pins, wooden horseshoes and rag dolls. Some games, for example, required very few accessories! Come and discover a few of these old-fashioned games and take the time to just play them!”
