“This people has no art and no culture.”

This is a judgement often proclaimed by several historians with respect to French Canadians. And yet, while living in a country with a harsh climate, a country of wild forests that is completely isolated, these generations of men and women managed to create works that reveal popular artistry, arts and crafts, architecture, painting, interior decoration, silverwares and sculpture.
