When they came to New France, the settlers made tools for working in the fields. However, they also made tools for housekeeping. At that time, the housewife had utensils for preparing food and cooking as well as for housekeeping. The manner in which the numerous domestic objects were manufactured reveals the true ingenuity of the settler.
